There are two types of dentures available - complete and partial dentures:

  • • Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing
  • • Partial dentures are used when you still have some of your own teeth

A complete denture can be done in 2 ways:

  • • Conventional Complete Denture: A conventional denture is made after the teeth have been removed and your gum heals. They are usually ready for placement 8 to 12 weeks after your teeth have been removed.
  • • Immediate denture: Immediate dentures are made in advance and can be placed as soon as your teeth are removed. Generally they require more adjustments and are usually used only until permanent dentures can be made.
